Each fall thousands of new international students begin their studies at Ohio State.
IFI welcomes new and returning internationals by holding a Welcome Party at the Ohio Union.

We're honored to have the opportunity to connect with and serve our international friends.
We’d love for you to help us serve in the following ways:

1. Connect Students with IFI:

This event is to help build relationships among new students, hosts and Christian students. It also helps demonstrate the impact that IFI has in the international student community at OSU.

• Make new friends through conversation, games (with prizes), and  line dancing.
• Brutus the Buckeye will also make an appearance! making new friends and winning prizes

2. Pick an Opportunity to Serve:

Most of these serving opportunities are 2-hour time commitments. Volunteers may do multiple shifts during the event. More details on these opportunities are available here.

1. Help set up ballroom - 4:00pm - 6:00pm
2. Pray with other IFI volunteers and staff - 4:30pm - 5:00pm
3. Help with registration - 5:30pm - 8:00pm
4. Help with information and game tables - 5:30pm - 9:30pm
5. Manage the game room - 5:30pm - 9:30pm
6. Serve food - 5:30pm - 9:15pm
7. Distribute Bibles to students - 5:30pm - 9:00pm
8. Meet new students and build friendships - 6:00pm - 9:00pm
9. Help clean up after the event - 9:00pm - 10:30pm
10. Help load IFI's van and unload at IFI's office - 10:00pm - 10:45pm
11. AV and/or Photography (bring camera) - 6:00pm - 9:00pm

3. Donate Supplies or Decorations:

We are in need of several supplies and decorations in order to make this a successful event. View our full wish list on Amazon by clicking here.

Major Needs Include:

• 3-4 Bikes (prizes for students). If you have a bike they are no longer using or want to get rid of, we will take it. We have someone who is also willing to fix the bikes if they are not in good condition.
